I think you are correct that it's not accessible by the user. I found this video on a 2021 ZX10R oil change. The guy likes doing his own maintenance and had the same pesky wrench issue. His dealer not only reset the indicator but was able to turn it completely off. I bet the same can be done on the 1000SX. Looks like a trip to the dealer is in
Not done a gsxr before but, in the past on other bikes i have-support bike by bars or tripple clamp. remove fork top end caps. remove springs, gubbins etc. thin tube down fork tube, vacuum pump out oil. re-fill with the specified amount of oil in each tube. re-assemble. Carl
Put the bike in neutral, turn on the ignition and kill switch. No need to start the bike. Now move the kill switch to off (this turns off power to the ECM) Three seconds later, "CHEC" will appear in the temp. window and "-" in the GP window. Move the kill switch to "run" and they will go away.
